Processing of personal data

As a service association and partner of local authorities, we only to process your data if we have a valid legal basis for doing so. Essentially, we only process personal data within the framework of a legal assignment (e.g., community work and social economy), following your consent (e.g. newsletters, etc.) or on the basis of a contractual obligation (e.g. renovation assistance, employment contract, accounting, etc.).

Maison Arthur takes appropriate administrative, technical and physical security measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access, use, loss or disclosure.

What rights do you have?

The GDPR also provides you with a number of rights when processing personal data.

You can access your data. You have the right to see your personal data and the purposes for which we process it. To do so, we do require proof of your identity so that we can be sure we are showing your personal data to the right person. You can have your data corrected. Does Maison Arthur have incorrect or incomplete personal data? You always have the right to have them corrected or completed to the extent permitted by law. You can have your data deleted. You can always ask Maison Arthur to have data deleted to the extent permitted by law. We are also legally obliged to keep data for a certain period of time (selection lists of the General State Archives). You can oppose certain uses of data. If you disagree with the way Maison Arthur processes certain data, you can oppose to that. We will grant this opposition unless there are legal or compelling reasons not to do so. You can oppose automated profiling. Maison Arthur does not use profiling based on automated processing. You can ask for your data to be transferred to a third party. You have the right to ask for personal data that you yourself have provided to Maison Arthur to be transferred to you directly or to a third party. The privacy law does provide some restrictions on this right, so it does not apply to all data.

How can you use these rights?

Maison Arthur has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO). This person monitors the application of the legal obligations regarding data protection and may contact you if you have any questions about the processing of your personal data.

We will provide you with an answer as soon as possible: no later than 30 days after we receive your request and proof of your identity. Using your rights is free of charge.However, if your request is excessive or if you frequently ask the same question, Maison Arthur may charge a fee or refuse your request.

Sharing with third parties

In case of cooperation with external parties, which involves data processing of personal data, both boards agree on the requirements that the data exchange must meet. Go to the overview of our protocols and authorisations (click here) to consult them.

For the processing of personal data we cooperate with various software suppliers. We conclude strict agreements with all these processing parties to ensure that they have the same security requirements as our board.

Possibility to file a complaint

If you do not agree with the way Maison Arthur handles your personal data you can in the first instance contact the DPO. Secondly, you can go to the Flemish Supervisory Commission, where you have the possibility to file a complaint.
